Our Design Leads at Tātou were able to support Te Roopū Māori o SkyCity (SkyCity’s Māori employee resource group) with a logo design that aligned with SkyCity and aligned with their mahi with Te Ao Māori.
The roopū wanted the logo to be digitally designed to better represent them but also ensure they had culturally designed and worked through this using the proper tikanga. Tātou worked with the roopū to design a logo that would drive brand awareness both internally and externally. Develop and increase brand positioning in market and across site. Set the design and tone of the brand for adaptable easy use by others.
Tone and manner: consistent with SkyCity’s overall branding, USP and entertainment. Approachable, friendly, tikanga, progressive, positive and solution-based.
Look and feel: Feels SkyCity, feels Māori, relatable to long time staff and new. Clean, easy to understand, dynamic, professional.
Mandatories: Adhere to the brand guidelines, must include the “S” logo and the koru, koru meaning and design in the logo and how that links to Te Ao Maori.
